North London – A Christmas 2018 Events Round-Up

A Christmas Carol at the Chickenshed

Would Christmas be the same without a performance of A Christmas Carol? This year, from 21st November to the 5th January, you and the family can enjoy an evening with Scrooge and the rest of Dickens’ much-loved characters at the Chickenshed. There are also some matinee performances on selected dates. Tickets cost between £10 - £22.50 – call 020 8292 9222 to book.

Paul Foot: Image Conscious at the Artsdepot

On the 1st December, comedian Paul Foot will be highlighting the problems caused by soft-shell crabs, not to mention the many merits of iceberg lettuce. Regarded by the Sydney Morning Herald as ‘sublime, original and brilliant’, you can catch him at the Artsdepot on Tally Ho Corner (call 020 8369 5454 to book your ticket today).

Harrow Apollo Male Choir Festive Concert at Bentley Priory Museum

On Sunday 9th December, the Harrow Apollo Male Choir will be performing in the museum’s imposing ballroom. Tickets are £15 for adults, £12 for concessions, £6 for children, and include a mince pie and mulled wine / juice on arrival. You can find out more here.

The Gruffalo’s Child at the Artsdepot

Based on Julia Donaldson’s award-winning book, it’s a lively musical adaptation that’s suitable for children aged three and over. Tickets are £14 to £16, and performances run from the 4th December to the 6th January. Book yours by calling 020 8369 5454.

Horrible Christmas at Alexandra Palace

Horrible Histories, a firm favourite with children up and down the country, will be coming to Alexandra Palace this December, with a fun-filled show all about Christmas. You can catch performances from the 13th to the 30th December, with tickets for sale at £29.70 each – book yours here.

Christmas at London Designer Outlet

There’s nothing quite like some retail therapy before Christmas (particularly if you’ve still got lots of presents to buy). London Designer Outlet’s Christmas event will be running from the 21st to the 24th December, with savings of up to 70%.

An Audience with Father Christmas at Kenwood House

Christmas just wouldn’t be complete without paying a visit to the man in red himself. Your children can find him at Kenwood House, where he’ll be telling Yuletide stories and handing out presents (if the kids have made it onto his good list, of course). Father Christmas will be around on selected dates and booking is essential – you can find out more here.
