Posted on Friday, February 11, 2022

Mill Hill has a lot of offer local residents and visitors to the district, especially when it comes to eating out. In our guide to some of the best restaurants in Mill Hill, we’ve handpicked five standout eateries for you to try out, covering everything from healthy eating to South American meat feasts.

Mani & Nick’s

It’s often the case that small, family run restaurants serve up the best food, and that is certainly true of Mani & Nick’s. Situated on The Broadway, they have built up a wonderful reputation in Mill Hill for their authentic, homemade Mediterranean-based recipes, and the majority of their menu features locally sourced ingredients, complemented by plenty of delicious imports from the Med. It’s a cosy, laidback environment with an emphasis placed on providing excellent food.

Numa

Numa means “so what” in Hebrew – but those are two words that never spring to mind when speaking about their cuisine. This upmarket café brings together the old with the new, taking traditional Middle Eastern dishes to transform them into something fresh and exciting. That means you get to enjoy the sort of meals grandma used to make served as fine dining, complemented by a fantastic range of wines and hand-made cocktails. You’ll find this one located on The Broadway.

Brewed Eatery

If you’re health conscious and want good food that is made with that in mind, then it’s worth popping down to Brewed Eatery on The Broadway. All their dishes are made with fresh produce and designed to promote clean eating. It’s nutritional food that looks great and tastes even better, with a wonderful array of smoothies/shakes and hot drinks to pick from. There also plenty of gluten free and veggie options available too.

Bank Food and Drink

Bank Food and Drink is another option for you to deliberate on The Broadway, with the restaurant proving to be extremely popular since opening its doors in 2020. They specialise in fusion cuisine and bring a slice of central London fine dining right into the heart of Mill Hill. There’s a lovely warm, ambience about this place during the evenings, and it feels like the sort of restaurant you and your friends could dine in for hours. It’s the spot to visit during the summer too, with its open-air back garden that brings in plenty of light and warm air during the long days and nights of the year.

El Vaquero

This is the second El Vaquero restaurant to open, with the first located in Whetstone, South Barnet. It’s situated on Hale Lane and if your mouth is watering for some delectably cooked meat, you’ll find it here in abundance. El Vaquero offers Argentine cooking with an all-you-can-eat menu carved up by Passadors at your table, along with a salad bar and great range of wine and cocktails to match. And if you need a moment to pause and digest, they have a meat traffic light feature on every table to put the service on hold until you are ready to go again.
